5020 Engineering Resource Group Incorporated is leading the way in the design, permitting, and construction oversight of community-scaled solar farms that use ground-mounted photovoltaic arrays to capture solar radiation and transform it into renewable electrical energy. 5020 Engineering is currently collaborating with BTB Energy Solutions Co. in Ingleside, IL, to convert multi-acre tracts of former agricultural land across Illinois into behind-the-meter-solar arrays with 6-megawatt capacity, providing renewable energy sources that contribute to reducing polluting gas emissions and moving towards a more environmentally friendly energy system.
The roles of 5020 Engineering include developing detailed, construction-ready designs of these solar farms and features, including frame-mounted solar arrays, supporting data centers, drives, parking, fencing, necessary appurtenances, and environmentally appropriate landscaping. 5020 then leads application for and securing of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Construction Permits to build the solar farms with approvals from State environmental protection and historic preservation agencies. 5020 provides oversight of construction to ensure compliance with the NPDES general permit from initial groundbreaking through temporary site stabilization and seeding through final landscaping that includes planting of appropriate native vegetation to provide enhanced ecosystem services to birds, wildlife, and pollinators.
If your engineering project prioritizes environmental stewardship, let 5020 Engineering Resource Group Incorporated exceed your expectations.
